From Ruhestein you can set off to the most beautiful hiking destinations, something to the rugged Karlsruher Grat (steep rock formation) or, to the visitor mine Silbergr\u00fcndle (1.5h). Or you hike over the ridges back to the individual stations such as Darmst\u00e4dter H\u00fctte, Mummelsee, Hornisgrinde, Unterstmatt and Hundseck (about 15km).
