The entire historic staircase had to be protected to ensure that the heavy loads wouldn&#8217;t cause any damage.<\/p>\n<p>Countless times, the freight elevator transported building materials upward and construction debris downward \u2013 an impressive sight. It&#8217;s remarkable how much material is moved during a demolition.<\/p>\n<p>A heartfelt thank you goes to the city of Baden-Baden, which took over the majority of our former room furnishings for charitable purposes. But isn&#8217;t it precisely these small discoveries that make renovating the Sophienpark so exciting?<\/p>\n<p>For example, we found these beautiful Art Nouveau tiles. Unfortunately, only this small part has survived. Who knows what might be hidden behind some of the partition walls or beneath the suspended ceilings.
