Max Liebermann (1847-1935) led the way for Impressionism in the German Empire, establishing it as the avant-garde of his era.<\/p>\n<p>This special exhibition presents around 100 masterpieces of German Impressionism &#8211; from sun-drenched landscapes and atmospheric portraits to exquisitely composed still lifes.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Liebermann, visitors will discover works by Lovis Corinth, Philipp Frank, Dora Hitz, Gotthardt Kuehl, Sabine Lepsius, Maria Slavona, Max Slevogt, Eva Stort, and Fritz von Uhde.
