With its new orientation “Simply more festival”, Europe’s second largest opera and concert house harks back to the days of the Belle Epoque, when Baden-Baden was still the summer capital of Europe

SIMPLY MORE FESTIVAL
With seven very freshly thought-out festivals, the Festspielhaus harks back to a time when the spa town was known as “The Place to Be”. Festival connoisseurs will rediscover their favorites and will also be surprised by very young formats such as “Take Over”.
The festivals are now enriched by many complementary events. Baden-Baden as a city is also more involved, which John Neumeier particularly emphasized in October 2022. He dreams of a dance festival in 2023, in which many locations of the city play a role.

TOCCARION. THE PARTICIPATORY HOUSE FOR CHILDREN
For children between 5 and 12 years
The musical world of the Toccarion is located in the building ensemble of the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden and is a real adventure. Unfortunately, making music together happens far too little or not at all in our day and age.
For this reason, it was a matter close to the heart of The Sigmund Kiener Foundation to provide all children with playful access to music with the establishment of the Children’s Music World TOCCARION. That is why the historic rooms of the Fürstenbahnhof, built in 1895, now offer a unique world of experience on an area of around 600 square meters.
Finally, all generations are welcome to the UNBELIEVABLE CHILDREN’S MUSIC WORLD. You can find the many events and guided tours on the website.
