Can there be a more beautiful transition into autumn than with John Neumeier’s Hamburg Ballet Ensemble? The dance festival took place for the first time in 2022 and thrilled the audience in different locations.
The festival kicks off on 29.09./30.09./1.10. with DONA VOBIS PACEM with the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. On September 30, Neumeier will let the popular Ballet Workshop take the stage to explain his stage pieces and plans with many danced details. On October 7 and 8, Kammerballetten will give a guest performance at the Theater Baden-Baden. Kammerballetten works with the most important international dancers and choreographers and combines the intimacy of classical chamber music with the topicality of modern ballets.
At the Kurhaus on October 3, experience the Bundesjugendballett with “BJB Songbook – What We Call Growing Up.” A colorful dance collage of pop songs of various musical styles by Imogen Heap, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Tracy Chapman and others.
On October 6-7-8, the traditional piece “Sleeping Beauty” by Tchaikovsky in Petipa’s original choreography will pull the story into the present, but retain its detached dreamy style.
October 8. Social Dance Project – the artists go to students and then show their joint work in the Festspielhaus.
October 9. With “Absprung III,” John Neumeier introduces his ballet school and leads through the evening. An important part of the training: Learning the choreographic tools of the trade. Students will present their work, some of which has already won awards.

NICOLAS PARTY Museum Frieder Burda
04.11.2023 – 03.03.2024
For the exhibition at the Museum Frieder Burda, Nicolas Party paints the large walls of the Museum Frieder Burda with colorful and illusionistic murals. His art work that is supposed to endure just for a certain time span. It might seem a bit irritating, but that´s part of his art concept.
Richard Meier’s architecture, otherwise characterized by its white surfaces and clear geometric forms, will be transformed into a color-intensive atmospheric spatial experience.
Nicolas Party is under the art historical influences of the Middle Ages, Italian pastel painting to painterly positions of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Golden autumn in Baden-Baden
Light mists lie over the valleys until the sun breaks through and provides pleasant temperatures. Every day the forests become more colorful and the views more fantastic. You experience the most beautiful panoramic route on the multi-award-winning circular trail (Panoramaweg) around Baden-Baden. It´s possible to divide it into smaller stages.
If you want to start walking directly from our Hotel am Sophienpark in the city center, please keep going in the direction of the Neues Schloss and then hike up the Hungerberg to the Altes Schloss. Here you should take your time for the historic building, because the impressions and views are spectacular. In the inner courtyard, a large wind harp sounds almost spherically in the castle window when the breeze is right.
If you want to keep the tour short, please take the Battert circular route or follow the panoramic path to the Merkur valley station. From here you could take the mountain funicular up and arrive at a good restaurant with a fantastic view terrace. For a description of the way please tap here.
