The Dependance
A Swiss house on the edge of the hotel park finds its purpose.
The 15 exclusively furnished rooms are a true refuge of comfort – a place where history meets stylish comfort. The venerable house with its characteristic wood carvings on the gable and veranda was once built by Stéphanie de Beauharnais, Napoleon’s stepdaughter.

Exclusive and uncomplicated. Cosy and urban. The Dependance is a successful bridge to modernity that honors the venerable history of the hotel.
The deluxe rooms are generously proportioned and are great for longer stays with the additional kitchenettes that can be booked.
The style of the hotel was already super modern in 1850. With a Swiss house, they wanted to show their connection to nature. Baden-Baden lies at the foot of the Black Forest and on a clear day you can see from the heights as far as the Swiss Alps. Fantastic!
No life without a minibar
We know what you’re missing! That’s why we’ve equipped the minibars with a fine selection of everything your heart desires.
Watch your series in bed or sit outside on the veranda in summer. In any case, you can count on tasteful highlights. You find an overview in our digital guest folder.
A Lavazza coffee machine, kettle with fine tea selection and a Marshall jukebox come as standard.
If you fancy some company, simply come into the main building and drink your coffee in the lobby or have breakfast on the beautiful park terrace.
A kitchenette for the home feeling?
Are you traveling with a baby or would you like to be completely self-sufficient?
Please ask us about the fully equipped kitchenettes, as these must be booked in addition. This allows you to prepare your own breakfast or become independent of restaurants. Just as you feel comfortable.
The kitchenette in the Dependance includes:
- two hotplates, an oven
- toaster
- pot set, frying pan, accessories
- plates, cups, small bowls, bowl, chopping board, cutlery
- water and wine glasses
Romantic rooms under the gable
In the queen room, you are the king or look forward to romantic togetherness, as the beds here are rather narrow at 140 cm. The gable of the Swiss house is decorated with wood carvings on the outside and is super cozy on the inside.
Sufficient space for a fully equipped minibar with a seating area and a luxurious bathroom was therefore very important to us when planning.
You can look out over the city through the skylights and enjoy the feeling of being just a few steps away from everything. A Black Forest gateau at Café König, a scoop from the ice cream manufactory in the colonnades or the best pasta next door at Ristorante Stromboli. This is what a vacation feels like.
Superior. The extra class for a great price
Superior. The name says it all. Spacious, stylish, superbly equipped.
In the Dependance, you can choose between the normal-sized superior rooms and the family room with sofa bed. Or you can choose room number 10 with its own balcony. We have partitioned off the large covered wooden veranda for this room. Curtains give you privacy, while super comfortable lounge chairs make for wonderful summer evenings.
As in all rooms of the Dependance, you find a minibar, Lavazza coffee machine, kettle with tea assortment and a Marshall jukebox.
Queen Superior. The room with balcony
Birds are singing, it´s a cozy summer evening and you are sitting in a lounge chair on the veranda with a cool glass of … In the middle of Baden-Baden. In the morning, you stroll through the hotel park and look forward to a delicious breakfast on the large park terrace of the Hotel am Sophienpark.
Does it still matter that the room is not that big? After all, the facilities are the same as in the deluxe rooms with minibar, Lavazza coffee machine, kettle with tea assortment and Marshall jukebox. The bathroom with rain shower will impress you!
