1733 Restaurant & Bar
LEVANTE. Mediterranean Oriental Worldcuisine.
Joachim Altvater is the new Culinary & Hospitality Chief of the 1733 Restaurant & Bar.
Until restaurant & bar can open after the renovation of the Hotel am Sophienpark, the experienced top chef is offering a catering service in combination with a food trailer. After all, the aim is to make the wait for the reopening easier.
Joachim Altvater
Altvater began his career by training as a chef at the Hotel Rebstock in Bühlertal and graduated as a master chef in 2011. His career took him from the Hapag Lloyd luxury liners to working with the Berlin celebrity chef Duc Ngo and managing the gastronomy at the Casino Baden-Baden. The Schräglage Group then placed all its trust in Altvater and appointed him team chef at VfB Stuttgart.
His passion lies particularly in Levante cuisine, even if he tends to summarize his concept under World Food Memories. Altvater wants to harmoniously combine Mediterranean and Oriental sophistication, French cuisine and regional freshness to create a taste experience at the future 1733. “We want to offer a unique experience that focuses on both enjoyment and sustainability,” says Altvater. “At Worldcuisine, I want to bring German international cuisine to the table with the Levant, in a very uncomplicated way. The world comes together here, and I show that in the menu.”
With his catering concept, Altvater is making the time until the reopening of the hotel and restaurant really exciting!
The Levante Cuisine
Levantine cuisine combines the flavors of the eastern Mediterranean – from Israel to Lebanon and Turkey. Aromatic herbs and market-fresh vegetables, spicy mezze, creamy hummus and grilled meat are at the heart of this convivial world of indulgence. Most of the Levant dishes are vegetarian or vegan, just like in their countries of origin.
Joachim Altvater’s 1733 Catering brings this Mediterranean variety to the plate. Traditional cuisine meets modern sophistication, always with high-quality ingredients and creative accents. Perfect for celebrations, events or simply an extraordinary taste experience.
Altvater once summarized it under World Food Memories, after all, he has travelled far and wide and has been inspired in many countries around the world. His proximity to French cuisine and his passion for regional ingredients will always be evident. He keeps the suspense going.
